Serenity Garden Committee: Help Needed
The Serenity Garden is moving to the Library Courtyard and we are looking for volunteers to help with the renovation. If you would like to be part of the Serenity Garden Committee, please contact Dawn Winkler.
We are especially looking for someone who can help with powerwashing the Library Courtyard in preparation for the new changes. If you have any powerwashing connections, please let us know!
Career Fair 2019: Parents Wanted
Our spaces are filling up but I will always make room for parent participation! Please contact Ms. Bryant (tabryant@fcps.edu or 703-623-3117). We have special student requests for a chef, cashier, and ALL sports representatives. Please consider attending for S1 (10-Noon) or S2 (1-3 p.m.) or stay all day!

Rough&Tumble 1K: Register BEFORE April 23
Hurry and register for the 3rd Annual Rough&Tumble 1K! The event is Saturday, May 11, but you must register by April 23 in order to get a T-shirt. This is a race that the whole family can do together, so save the date and sign up today!

Herndon Middle School Play
Come see "The Outsiders" at Herndon Middle School, April 5 (7:00 pm) or April 6 (2:00 pm and 7:00 pm). tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.hmsdrama.org. While all are welcome, due to the nature of this play (based on the beloved book by S.E. Hinton), it is recommended for 6th graders and older.

2019 Family Engagement Survey
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is committed to engaging families in their children’s education and schools and is asking all parents and guardians to participate in the 2019 Family Engagement Survey.
The survey will be available between March 24th and April 12th. There are 3 ways you can complete the survey:
- Check your email after March 24 for an invitation with a survey link from Dr. Scott Brabrand, Superintendent, with subject line: FCPS Family Engagement Survey.
- Ask the front office staff of your child's school for a paper survey. You can complete it right there on the spot.
- Complete the online survey using one of the school computers. The office staff would be happy to show you an available computer for you to complete the survey electronically at the school.

The survey is offered in English, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Korean, Urdu, Vietnamese, and Amharic.
