Siblings of Rising Kindergarten Students

Kings Park students who have siblings attending the Kindergarten Orientation on April 10th, can remain at school. We must receive a permission note no later than the morning of Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Parents must pick up child(ren) in Room 1 by 3:45pm.

Kings Park Kindergarten Registration and Orientation-APRIL 10TH

Registration for the 2019-2020 school year is now open for our new kindergarten students. 

  1. Contact the registrar, Nancy Sawicki at 703 426-7000 to be added to our Kings Park list of incoming kindergarteners.
  2. Fill out and SIGN all registration forms. Information and registration forms can be found at: https://www.fcps.edu/registration/kindergarten-registration Packets are also available in the school office.
  3. Bring completed registration paperwork to Kings Park. 
    • bring proof of residency (lease, deed or mortgage statement)
    • your child’s original birth certificate to Kings Park.
  4. Attend Kindergarten Orientation for incoming kindergartners and parents on Wednesday, April 10th from 2:45 pm – 3:45 pm.

Purple Up!  Wednesday April 10th

Each year our nation designates April as the Month of the Military Child to recognize and thank children from military families for the sacrifices they make living the military lifestyle.  During the month, one day is selected as the day to “Purple Up! For Military Kids” and all are encouraged to wear purple in recognition of the strength and sacrifices of military connected youth (MCY).  Why purple?  Purple is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military, as it is the combination of Army green, Coast Guard blue, Air Force blue, Marine red, and Navy blue. This year Purple Up day will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 10.
