Principals Note
As we approach the end of the school year, we routinely offer parents the opportunity to provide input regarding your child’s placement for the new year. The school works collaboratively in teams to begin making decision regarding teacher and class assignments for the next school year. As we begin to plan, our grade level teams in conjunction with our specialists, counselors and administration begin to organize our plans for students and classrooms. We look at many factors in making determinations. Some of the considerations include: student personalities, friendships, as well as academic abilities. We also consider new student enrollment that will take place for the 2019-20 school year.
Kent Gardens’ families can assist us in determining class placement by sharing their insights about your child by completing this form . Please note the following:
- Requests for specific teachers for the upcoming grade placement will not be considered nor will direct hints nor preferences that reference teachers.
- Our goal is to try and ensure that all students have at least one friend in their classroom. That said, we cannot guarantee that it will be the peer that you may have desired as we work to make placements that create a positive chemistry for all students.
- The deadline for any correspondence regarding the upcoming school year is Friday, May 3, 2019.
We have a great deal in front of us as we go forward this school year! We look forward to another successful and collaborative effort between the Kent Gardens’ staff, students and community.
