Volunteers Needed for AP Exams in May

West Springfield High School is seeking volunteers to help with AP Exam administration between May 6 and May 17. We need volunteers to assist with setting up rooms, distributing/collecting test materials, and supervising students during testing. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Any responsible adult is able to help as long as you have never taught the specific AP course you will be proctoring and as long as you are not related to a student taking that specific exam. (For example, if your student is taking AP Calculus and AP Spanish, you are able to proctor any other exams.)

Proctoring shifts are approximately 3-4 hours and you will be paired with a WSHS teacher or counselor who will lead the test administration. For more information and to sign up for one or more proctoring shifts, please view the Signup Genius at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080d48a9ae29a1f85-aptesting1

Thank you for your continued support of the AP Program and all of our students at WSHS! Please contact Assessment Coach, Kim Nelson, if you have additional questions.

Class of 2020

Bake Sale – The class of 2020 will be having a bake sale in front of Peets Coffee (Kings Park Shopping Center) on April 6th from 8am-11am. In order for this to be successful, we are asking for donations of baked goods that we can sell. If you would like to donate baked goods, please sign up at the following link https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0f45abad2baa8-bake.  Thank you for your support!

The Jiffy Lube Live fundraiser is the largest fundraiser for the All Night Grad Party! Training is required for all volunteers. You do not have to be a 2020 parent to participate. We would love to have “PAY IT FORWARD” volunteers to support our Spartans. You must be 18 years or older to work concessions. Training dates for Class of 2020 fundraising are as follows: April 6, 13, 20 and 27 and May 20th. You must have TEAM (alcohol) and Customer Service training to participate. If you have been TEAM trained within the last 3 years, then you will not need to take it again. Everyone is required to take Customer Service training every year. All training sessions will be conducted at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow. We can easily connect you with other volunteers for carpooling for training, as well as concerts. The number of our volunteers directly effects our ability to get the best money making locations as concert assignments! Please follow this link to sign up for 1 of the 5 dates Jiffy Lube has for training - https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080845A8AE2EABF94-jiffy Contact Kathleen Whitley at kbwhitley1@hotmail.com with questions.
