Dear Bonnie Brae,
Spring has sprung! We are excited for warmer weather!
Teaching and learning is being celebrated all across the school. Below is just a snapshot of the learning we spotted across the school this past week!
Preschool...Science... Sink and float
Kindergarten... Reading...Book characters and personal narratives
1st grade...Writing...trying techniques that authors use to write
2nd grade...Math...strategies for adding two-digit addition and subtraction
3rd grade...Writing...Studying authors as mentors and storytelling techniques
4th grade...Science...Understanding how energy works. They made flashlights
5th grade...Science...Conducting research on science fair projects
6th grade...Math... Representing proportional relationships
Teaching and learning is at the very center of everything we do at Bonnie Brae. We appreciate your support and the feeling of a true community. We would not be successful without your involvement and the hard work and dedication of our talented teaching staff.
Your principals,
Mrs. Cage, Mrs. Bennink and Mrs. Killingsworth
