Family Engagement Survey

The Family Engagement Survey is open March 24 - April 12.

Share your thoughts on your school’s communications, opportunities to participate, relationships, student success, and more. Your input will be used to strengthen family engagement and foster a Caring Culture as outlined in the Fairfax County Public Schools Strategic Plan.

There are three ways to participate:

1. Check your email for an invitation with survey link from FCPS on March 24
2. Request a paper survey at your local school after March 24
3. Request to complete the online survey at your child’s school or at a school event.

All responses are confidential!

Food Deliveries

Reminder: Although restaurants will deliver food and food delivery services (GrubHub, Uber Eats, etc.) are popular, they are not allowed. Students may not order food and have it delivered to school. Parents also should not order food for delivery during the school day. We will not allow delivery people to enter our school building to drop off an order of food. Thank you for your cooperation.

Edison Drama

After a wet and dicey winter, Edison Theatre is presenting DRACULA: An Undead Romance, on March 28-30. This original adaptation of the Bram Stoker classic features a cast of nearly two dozen. As a bonus, the show features original underscoring by junior Seamus McClure that will be performed by a live chamber orchestra. Come hear the evocative score, come see Count Dracula menace his victims and, mostly, come enjoy the show! Please note: we now offer reserved seating!

Regular tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students (ages 9-17). Click for tickets: Information and Tickets

The play is not suitable for children under age 8. Shows are Thursday – Saturday evenings, March 28-30, at 7:00 p.m; and a Saturday matinee, March 30 at 2:00 p.m.

2019 MOVE Summit - for African American Males with Disabilities

MOVE is a Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) sponsored, optional three-day institute for African American males, aged 13-21 with disabilities and their parents. It will be held July 14-16, 2019 on the campus of Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia. Utilizing state leadership and mentors, young men engage in activity-based learning. Participants unlock their potential to overcome barriers, become self-determined, and graduate high school to be college and career ready. Concurrent parent workshops offer resources and tools to promote self-determination in their sons and increase parent engagement in the education process. For additional information visit: http://www.imdetermined.org/youth/move/.
This is a VDOE sponsored event. If accepted, participants will have no costs associated with attendance. To apply: https://form.jotform.com/90433506805151
