PTA UPDATES
Talent Show
We are looking for a committee of people to help put together the Talent Show. We will need coordinators, judges and other assistance. We are still looking at some dates and will communicate the information in the very near future.
6th Grade Photos
The yearbook staff is looking for some pictures of students for the yearbook such as baby, toddler, or K-2 pictures. Yearbooks are going on sale soon, and the page layouts need to be done now. Please send the pictures in marked "yearbook".
Teacher Appreciation Week
We are looking for 4-6 people to help coordinate Teacher Appreciation Week. We need decorators, coordinators, and organizers for thing to bring in for on-site and off-site activities. You will be given a budget to work with and some ideas from the past to work with or help you create your own ideas. It is a long week so the more help that we have, the easier it is.
Friday Night Live Glow Sticks
We are looking for people to help with the glow stick sales for the Friday night live. Usually we ask for 5th grade parents as the money raised goes directly to the carnival for rising 6th graders.
Fundraisers
We are looking for a fun fundraiser that can help the PTA raise between $3000-$5000 (or more) to help offset where we fell short in the fall. The PTA has a few ideas and we are exploring more options so that the students have something fun to look forward to.
Restaurant Night
Just a reminder that Restaurant Night is happening all throughout the month of March at Glory Days in Northpointe. There is a nice blue Dranesville box or located in the main office for everyone to drop off their itemized receipts. The 5th grade had a class night and almost 50 families attended. This is an easy way to donate money to the PTA and enjoy a great meal. Please consider helping the PTA as there is only one more week left in March.
