Students showed their St. Patrick's Day spirit on Green Day at GBW!
THANK YOU for supporting GBW on Tuesday Night
Thank you all so much for coming out and supporting GBW on Tuesday, March 19th, at the Chipotle Fair Lakes! Due to your support and unflagging school spirit, we collectively raised just under $500 for the PTA to use to support school programs and activities! We are thankful to be a part of such a supportive community that truly cares about and invests in GBW. We could not do everything we do without your support..... thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Don't miss our Variety Show on Friday, March 29th

This spring, all Greenbriar West parents will be contacted through e-mail or text message with a link to the FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback Form Online. This survey is part of the Performance Evaluation Program and offers parents an opportunity to provide anonymous input about various issues related to our school. These issues include instructional leadership, school climate, human resources management, organizational management, communication and community relations, and professionalism.
This survey will be collected online through March 27. When you receive an e-mail or text message from FCPS Surveys, please take a few minutes to complete the survey. Your opinions matter. Thank you!
On Tuesday, April 2, GBW will welcome author Russell Ginns to visit with grades 3-6! He will be discussing his round-the-world adventure starring Sam Spinner and her brother Nipper. You may wish to visit Russell’s website for more information about him and his books at www.samanthaspinner.com. GBW students have the opportunity to purchase his books before his visit. The books will be delivered to school and autographed by the author on the day of his visit. Books can be ordered using the form sent home last week, or on line (preferred) using MySchoolBucks.

School-wide Reading Challenge Kicked Off on Monday!
Read-a-thon is off to a FABULOUS start! In 2 days only, more than 150 readers have set-up their page, and 72 have also gotten a supporter. Make sure your child is logging all the minutes they read each day on their Read-a-thon page. Materials were sent home in last week's Thursday folder, with personalized codes for students to set up their online pages.
The GBW Read-a-thon will run from March 18, through April 12. Read-a-thon is such a great opportunity for us to remain focused on education and still raise money. All reading at home counts! Simultaneously, students invite friends and family to support their reading effort with a donation. That’s it!
What activities does Read-a-thon help support? Funds raised will go towards the GBW PTA Budget to support school enrichment programs, classroom activities, field trips, and more.
READY! SET! Let's Read!
