Congratulations to the FBLA Regional Winners! A total of 20 students competed in 24 competitive events at the FBLA Spring Leadership Conference on Thurs., Mar. 7th at Robinson HS. Eight of our students placed and are Regional Winners!
- Christian Villegas - 1st Place in Computer Problem Solving
- Nur Diyana Zulkifely - 1st place in Computer Applications
- Sophia-Cristelle Javier -1st place in Broadcast Journalism (group event)
- Victoria Doyle -1st place in Broadcast Journalism (group event)
- Grace Saia -1st place in Broadcast Journalism (group event)
- Duke Nguyen- 1st place in Spreadsheet Applications
- Francisco Iraheta- 1st place in Graphic Design
- Alisha Joshi -2nd place in Job Interview
Christian, Nur Diyana, Sophia, Victoria, Grace, Duke, and Francisco qualify for the State Competition and will be competing on April 5th and April 6th in Reston, Virginia!
Congratulations to the FCHS Orchestra Department for successful performance at District 10 High School Assessment this past weekend. FCHS hosted the event.
Concert Orchestra received an Excellent rating. Symphonic Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra both received a Superior rating and received all superior ratings from all four judges.
Thank you to all the students and parents who spent their time at FCHS this weekend.

Fundraiser Tonight! (Monday)
Our PTSA runs the All Night Grad Party-- a safe all-night party for seniors the night of graduation. To help fund this party, the ANGP team is hosting a fundraiser at El Tio tonight (7630 Lee Highway, Falls Church)

If you haven’t done so yet, please remember to pay your senior dues! These may be paid on My School Bucks or by check (made out to Falls Church High School).

Want to purchase a personal ad congratulating a graduating senior? Follow these steps:
- Go to yearbookforever.com.
- Start typing Falls Church High School in the box provided and select Shop the store when FCHS pops up below.
- Under Create a Personal Ad, select Get Started.
- When prompted, type the student’s name, grade, and an email. Hit Next.
- A parent may upload an ad already created or design the ad online. Select the desired option. Hit Next.
- Choose the size of the page. Hit Next.
- Follow to additional prompts to upload the completed ad or use the tool to design the ad online.
Graduation DVD’s Can Be Ordered!

From the Parent Resource Center
The Parent Project
We are excited to offer the “Parent Project” for free to parents of FCHS. Parent Project is a parenting program that helps parents learn and practice prevention and intervention strategies that prevent destructive behavior in young people. The classes will begin on Wednesday March 13 and will end on Wednesday May 22, meeting every Wednesday, once per week, for 10 consecutive weeks. Free dinner & childcare. Cost of the Parent Guide is $10.00. PP will be in Spanish.
- Dinner will be served at 5:30m in room #104.
- Childcare will begin at 6:00pm in room #106.
- Classes will be held in the school Library from 6:00 – 9:00pm.
This is our third year offering Parent Project and we continue to see success from the participants!

FCHS Journalism Fundraiser
Help support FCHS Journalism by eating at Merrifield Silver Diner!
When: Thursday, March 21, 5:00 - 8:00 pm
Where: Merrifield Silver Diner 8150 Porter Road (Porter Road & Gallows Road) Falls Church, VA 22042
How: Tell your server you're with Falls Church High School and 20% of your check goes toward FCHS Journalism.
Why: The Jagwire, our student-run newspaper, is completely self-funded. Your support helps us to practice responsible journalism and keep a 75-year tradition alive by producing a monthly publication.
Broadway Sweets 2019 - BROADWAY ROCKS!
March 15-16
Join the Choir and Theatre department of Falls Church High School on March 15 and 16 (rescheduled dates!) as we present this year's Broadway Sweets - BROADWAY ROCKS!
Dessert is served at 7:30 with performances by the students and faculty at FCHS celebrating the best in rock and pop musicals from Broadway.
Suggested donation is $20. Table seating. Reservations strongly recommended as there is limited seating each night. Student show only tickets are available for a pay-what-you-can donation on 3/15 only. Visit bit.ly/broadwaysweets19 to reserve your seats!

Partners for Safe Teen Driving
The state of Virginia requires all 10th grade students and their parent/guardian to attend a 90-minute traffic safety program as part of the classroom driver education instruction. This condition must be met before a student will receive a Classroom Driver Education Certificate of Completion (DEC-1 card).
The dates for this year's presentations are:
- April 10, 2019 (Cafeteria)
- May 8, 2019 (Cafeteria)
All programs will begin PROMPTLY at 7:00 pm. There will be no admittance once the program has begun. You are strongly encouraged to mark your calendar now and plan to attend.
