Looking for International Night Committee Volunteers. International Night will be held on Friday, April 26. Take a trip around the world as we will celebrate our diversity with a night of food, booths highlighting countries and continents, activities, games, a parade, performances and more. We are looking for volunteers to donate native dishes, share cultural items and knowledge, and man booths. Sign up genius can be found here. Please contact Laura Allen, lallen5@gmail.com, if you’re interested in joining this fun committee.
Spring Picnic Committee Volunteers. We are interested in starting a new tradition of a Spring Picnic that would allow our families to get together before school is out. This would be similar to the End of the Year Picnic but take place a bit earlier in the year (May timing vs June) Please contact Michele Choe, mpecorichoe@gmail.com, if you’re interested in helping to organize this event.
PTA Volunteer Spotlight! A big shout out to Karen Laughlin, who steps up every week to coordinate our PTA News You Choose messaging, facebook and website materials. Karen’s one of our many amazing volunteers who makes time in her busy schedule to give back to the community and help the PTA every week! Thank you Karen!Thank you for all you do Karen!
Are the kids bored? They must not be clipping Box Tops! The March deadline for Box Tops is the 29th. This is such an easy and fun way for the PTA to earn money! You can cut out the box tops and paste them on the submission form, or if that’s not your thing, just cut them out and put them in a baggie. Our amazing Box Tops coordinator, Barb Jaeschke, will count them for you!
This is one activity that the kids can do without too much help - it doesn’t have to be perfect - we still get the donation! And the best part? The winners get to hear their names on the announcements at school and win a book! So hand your kids the box tops and glue, grab a book and a cup of tea, sit back, and relax. Good luck!
Congratulations to the February Box Tops winners: 2nd graders Emma T, Ethan C., and Ben B.
