Welcome New Staff
Please join me in welcoming Ms. Angela Coyle (pronounced “coil”) to our main office staff. She started this week and joins us full-time at the front desk.
We congratulate Officer Bonner and his wife on the birth of their new baby. Officer Williams will be filling in as our School Resource Officer (SRO) for several weeks.
SLHS Academic Advising Mini-Conferences
Thank you to everyone who came to the mini-conferences around academic advising last night. There is one more opportunity on March 6th from 3:20 – 6:00pm. These 10-minute conferences are intended for both parents and students, who are rising 10th – 12th graders, to meet with the student’s counselor to talk through the course options the student is considering for the 2019-20 school year. Please use the links below to sign up for a mini-conference. If you need to cancel, please do so in a timely manner so someone else may use the slot.

Presales will be open until April 27. More than half of the books are already sold! Books will be $85 at distribution during the first week of June.
Student Highlights
Good luck to both our Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball teams as they compete in the Quarterfinals of the State Tournament tonight (Friday) being held at Robinson Secondary. Girls play at 6:00PM and boys at 7:45. Tickets are $10. No passes.
Congratulations to our Girls Indoor Track team for winning the Region 6 Championship. We also had several athletes participate at States with new meet and individual records!
South Lakes JROTC Drill Team has placed 1st in Color Guard and 2nd in Armed Inspection at the 4th BDE Drill Championships in Hickory, North Carolina this past weekend. Congratulations to them on their continued success.
