February Newsletter from Principal Tam/PTA

Greetings Westbriar Parents and Community:

The new year has flown by and we are already in the middle of February!  The inclement weather has certainly given us a run for our money in terms of routines and consistency for students.  Thank you for being mindful on mornings when we had 2 hour delays, arrival has been smooth and I thank you for your patience throughout the arrival process.

Here are some important reminders regarding student safety:

  • Students should not be arriving or dropped off before 8:55am.  This is because we will not have staff supervision until that time.  Safety patrols are the only students cleared to arrive prior to 8:55am so they can get to their posts prior to the start of school.
  • Parents are cautioned against dropping off kids in street instead of using Kiss N’ Ride.  When you do this, this creates a safety concern as your child would need to cross a busy street to get to school.  Our Kiss and Ride line is getting better so please use that instead of dropping your child off on Pine Valley Drive.

Thank you for your continued collaboration.
