CLEARVIEW STAFF VALENTINE'S BREAKFAST The annual Clearview PTA staff breakfast will be held on the morning of Thursday, February 14th at Clearview. FEBRUARY PTA MEETING The next PTA meeting will be held in the cafeteria on Wednesday, February 20 at 7:00 PM. Clearview’s Foreign Language in Elementary Schools (FLES) teachers will give a presentation on the FLES program at Clearview and our PTA business minute will immediately follow. We hope to see you there!
6th ANNUAL CLEARVIEW SILENT AUCTION
Calling all Clearview parents! The Clearview PTA’s 6th Annual Silent Auction will be held in conjunction with the Children’s Science Center Night at Clearview on Thursday, March 21st. We are in need of donations of auction items including, but not limited to gift certificates, products, gift baskets, and services. Donations are tax-deductible as Clearview PTA is a 501(c)(3).
It is also time to sign up for classroom projects. Please consider volunteering to make that special item with your child’s class. It can be anything from a picture, shelf, art piece, etc. The skies the limit! It is as simple as coming up with an idea and contacting your child’s teacher to arrange a time to work on it together. BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Over the life of the Box Tops for Education program, Clearview has received almost $21,000 for programs and supplies for our students, so please continue to collect them for our school. If you shop at Safeway, be on the lookout for Bonus Box Tops when you play their Monopoly game. These can be turned into the school anytime or saved and submitted during the PTA’s spring Box Top collection contest.

CLEARVIEW PTA’S SPECIAL EDUCATION COMMITTEE
This fall, Clearview parent and PTA member, Valerie Catullo, volunteered to lead a new PTA special education committee Clearview. Valerie is a wonderful advocate for all our students and we are so lucky to have her helping us in this capacity! NATIONAL PTA 2019 SLATE OF CANDIDATES
Congratulations to Armstrong Elementary School and NOVA District PTA Assistant Director Tony Shivers on his slated nomination for re-election to National PTA Board of Directors! We’re so lucky to have Tony serving in our District!
PTA CLOTHING DRIVE
The PTA’s clothing drive is still taking place and the following items are needed:
- Winter coats for men and women in all adult sizes.
- Boots for children, men and women in all sizes.
- Halloween costumes for next year.
- White shirts and black pants for chorus and band.
Items collected will be distributed by Clearview staff to Clearview families. Drop your donations off in the black and white polka dot bin in the Clearview lobby between the cafeteria and the classrooms.
