 Students Intramural Champions from the Lanier Basketball and Futsal Intramural Leagues will face the Lanier Staff Teams on Friday, February 8th.
PTA Lights On After-School Staff vs Student Challenge
The Lanier PTA will sponsor the 2019 Lights On After-School Staff vs. Student Challenge tonight! This Family friendly event will include games between the Intramural Basketball and Futsal Champions from the recently completed After-School Intramural Season and the Lanier Staff Teams.

6:00 - Doors Open
6:30 - 7:30 - Staff vs. Student Basketball Game
7:45 - 8:45 - Staff vs Student Futsal Game
9:00 - Parent Pickup at Door 7 - Please be prompt:)
Tickets
Tickets will also be available for purchase at Door 7 on the evening of the event beginning at 6pm.
Concessions
The PTA will be selling food and drink, including Rita's Italian Ice, in the cafeteria.

The Lanier National Junior Honor Society will sponsor A Night of Giving during the PTA Lights On After-School Staff vs. Student Challenge. A Night of Giving is a celebration of the generosity of the Lanier Community and a chance choose an NJHS-sponsored charity drive to donate to:
Food Pantry Drive (shelf-stable, nutritious food items).
Cold weather Clothing Drive (new or gently worn hats, scarves, or gloves)
Animal Shelter Drive (unopened pet food and snacks, dog or cat toys)
As you arrive, please drop off your donation in the collection area in the cafeteria. Students and families will receive a raffle ticket for each item donated. At half-time, 3 raffle tickets will be drawn. Owners of the raffle tickets will receive a $50.00 gift card!

Lanier placed 3rd out of 20 other middle schools on Saturday, February 2nd at TOP of the Podium’s middle school championships. This initiative was led by Matt Brito (7th grade) and Joon Jeong (8th grade). Other Lanier wrestlers include Cliff Prescott (7th grade), Alex Beloula (8th grade), Carl Messer (8thgrade).
Interested in being part of the team? Lanier/FHS Wrestling takes place on Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 in the Aux. Gym. Come meet Coach Lio Quezada this Thursday!
