Teacher Grant Opportunities for the 2019-2020 School Year

The Foundation for FCPS is pleased to announce the second round of discretionary grants aimed at supporting teachers in the classroom. Grants range from $1,000 - $2,500 for teachers to enhance or expand work-based learning opportunities in the classroom that will guide students of all levels to explore various career paths. The grant cycle closes April 5, and grants will be funded for the 2019-20 school year.

Teachers interested in learning more about these grants can contact the Foundation office by email or by phone at 571-423-1031. Information is also available on the Foundation's website

Contribute to "Collect for Kids" 

In the 2018-19 school year, FCPS is projected to have over 55,000 students who qualify for free or reduced meals. "Collect for Kids" is a network of non-profits, faith-based groups, businesses and civic organizations that work together to collect school supplies and backpacks for these students each year. Your monetary gift to the 2019 "Collect for Kids" drive with be used to fill gap needs and to purchase school supply kits that are handed out during orientation days in August. FCPS Honors Sponsors 

A pillar of the Foundation for FCPS's support is Employee Recognition programs for some of the 27,500 employees at FCPS. Through monthly celebrations in each region, #FCPSCares recognizes employees at every level, culminating in the FCPS Honors on Wednesday, June 12 at 6:00 pm at Mason's Center for the Arts.

  • Provide backpacks or school supplies for students in need (Kids in Need/Collect for Kids)
  • Support Teacher Grants to expand work-based learning and career exploration opportunities (Workforce Development)
