EAGLE BUCKS WINNERS

Eagle Bucks Winners

It’s time to celebrate another amazing group of Eagle Bucks Winners! Thank you for being such amazing role models. We are so proud of you!

DISCIPLINE STUDY

Dear Eagle View Families,

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is studying how school environments relate to discipline practices in the Division. As part of the study, you will receive a survey from FCPS’ Office of Research and Strategic Improvement.  A small number of classrooms will also participate in the study’s student survey. The surveys are designed to help FCPS understand your and your child’s thoughts about the school environment and how discipline is approached in their school.

Surveys to parents will be translated into multiple languages and come via eNotify. Student surveys will be administered at school. Participation is voluntary for you and your child, and all responses will be anonymous.

I encourage you to participate in this important survey to help FCPS understand what is working well and where we can improve. Thank you for your help and participation.

ADVANCED ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

For parents of students currently receiving full time level IV advanced services:

Students who are eligible for Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) Level IV services and have a base school that offers Local Level IV have the choice to receive services at their local level IV or at the level IV center serving their home address. Choice of these two options is binding for an academic year.

The Advanced Academic Programs Office would like to inform you that if you wish to make a change for next school year, the transfer deadline has changed to May 15 instead of July 1 to align with school hiring timelines.

If you have any questions, please contact Nicole M. Sharpes, AART nmsharpes@fcps.edu.

BOX TOPS: BADGE CHALLENGE

If you weren't able to help earn a classroom badge during previous months, this is the challenge for you! If you're the type that wants to get ahead and stay ahead, this is also the challenge for you! January and February will be our LIGHTNING ROUND for Box Tops submissions. For every fully completed Box Tops sheet submitted by your classroom (25 or more), your classroom will earn a badge. This is the perfect time to either catch up from previous months or jump ahead in your badge collections for upcoming months.

Not sure where to find Box Tops? You're in luck! They are now on hundreds of products. View the full products list for ideas. Each Box Top earns our school ten cents. Even if you can only find one or two, send them in! We reached our halfway goal of $500 through this program thanks to your efforts and are excited to see how many more we can submit.
