Sixth graders with artifacts that will go into their American Revolution event.
Dear Parents,
Happy Valentine’s Day! Students had much fun today wearing Valentine's Day colors and passing out treats to friends and staff. We hope you all of you are looking forward to a 3 day weekend with your family. Just a reminder that schools and offices will be closed on Monday, February 18th. And once again, interesting weather may be in store!
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to further support your child’s learning and experience at Oak Hill. My door is always open!
Sincerely,
Holly DeVore, Principal

As the Third Quarter begins….we are in full production for art work to be on display at the Chantilly Pyramid Art Show 2019. The is an annual show that takes place at Chantilly High School on April 10th from 6-8 pm. Artwork from around the pyramid will be showcased from Elementary and Middle schools. Save the date and come join the fun!
Our 6th grade classes are ready to begin their 6th Grade Art SOL which has a focus this year on Landscape Painting. Oak Hill students historically do well on this project as it is an assessment of their cumulative knowledge as an elementary artist, not necessarily what the have learned as a 6th grade student.
Lastly, as we deal with the many school delays and closers, be on the lookout for student art work coming home as we finish up existing projects and start new ones. Students have been working hard in Art and it shows. Keep up the focus and enjoy being creative artists!
