Good afternoon,
I think it is safe to say we had a different vision for our schedule last week... Onward and upward! First, a reminder that there is no school for students on Monday. Our staff will be participating in literacy and math professional development. Bingo Night was moved to this Friday, so update your calendar. For our rising 7th graders, Kilmer Middle School reschedule their curriculum night to this Wednesday at 6:00. Our Spelling Bee was moved to this Thursday and that starts at 5:30.
It is National School Counseling Week! Help me in thanking our wonderful counselors, Donna Hill & Velma Campbell for all they do to support our students. FCPS writes, "Fairfax County Public Schools employs close to 700 school counseling professionals, including school counselors, directors of student services, and career center specialists. These professionals are committed to preparing students to become lifelong learners and productive members in a global society with a focus on social emotional wellness, academic success, and college and career readiness. Thank you to all of our school counseling professionals for the tremendous work they do!"
Here's hoping for a consistent week with some warmer weather!
All my best,
Scott
P.S. If you are watching the Super Bowl tonight, remember to cheer for the New England Patriots! :)
