Outstanding Employees

Dear Lake Braddock Community,

We had such a great Friday today honoring some of the best staff members in the county.  We kicked off our recognitions by honoring Anne Buellesbach, MS Math Teacher, who was the FCPS Cares November winner for Region 4.  FCPS Cares is a program with the county that allows anyone to recognize an employee for going above and beyond. Each month, the most outstanding entry from each region is selected. Brian Buser who works in HR (and is an LBSS alum!) joined us today and shared that Lake Braddock has more FCPS Cares entries that any other FCPS school.  THANK YOU for taking time out of your busy lives to show your appreciation for our staff members.

After the FCPS Cares celebration, we moved on to recognizing staff members who were nominated for Outstanding Employee Awards by colleagues, students and parents, for the work they do each and every day.  We are pleased to announce that the following staff members are Lake Braddock Pyramid winners and will compete at the region level:  Andrea Harmon, Choral Director, Outstanding Secondary Teacher; Craig Whitesell, HS Math Teacher, Outstanding Secondary New Teacher; Alex Bryan, After-School Specialist, Outstanding School-Based Leader.  Our sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to nominate someone.  We enjoyed recognizing each one today at our faculty meeting.

Enjoy the three day weekend!

Interim Principal
