Below important information provides an opportunity for parents to learn about courses and programs at the Fairfax HS. It is an important orientation event, especially for the transition years of 9th grade. Please mark the dates below and plan to attend if you will have a 9th grader next year. |
Rising 9th grade Course Selection Events
Fairfax Curriculum Night
Thursday, Jan 10 6:30p - 8:00p (snow day Jan 17)
Fairfax HS has mailed home an invitation to their Curriculum Night. Pre-meetings for Special Education and AVID begin at 6:00pm, the Curriculum Night is from 6:30 - 8:00pm, and the Rising 9th grade Program is at 7:00pm.
Rebels Rising Field Trip
On Thursday, Jan 17 ALL 8th graders and 8th grade teachers will participate in a field trip to Fairfax High School. Students will receive a permission slip TODAY, please sign and make sure your student returns it Thursday, January 10th.

The Course Catalog lists and describes all the classes at Fairfax HS.

In January, Fairfax counselors will present course selection information to 8th graders. Events will be scheduled based on team and alpha assignments.
Fairfax High School Academy
Fairfax Academy will host its annual Open House on February 5, 2019 from 6:30 to 8:00pm at Fairfax HS. Snow date: Monday, February 11th. Fairfax Academy is located inside of Fairfax High School, For details visit the Fairfax Academy Website at https://fairfaxacademy.fcps.edu/
IB Program at Robinson
For rising 9th graders and their parents who are interested in the IB Program at Robinson.
Robinson’s IB Information Night will be on Wednesday, January 16th at Robinson’s Russell Theatre.
