Dear Hughes Parents, Guardians, and Students
Renovation Update: The first move of our renovation has taken place over the Winter Break. Seventh grade core classes, ESOL and Spanish classes will now be housed in “Panther Town,” modular trailers on the field adjacent to Ridge Heights. Students and parents can view the new classroom numbers in SIS now. To assist students who have classes that have moved, there will be wall lists on Monday in the Hall of Nations with second period teachers and locations. School staff will be available to help students find the new locations. In second period, teachers will distribute a copy of their schedule to all students with a map of the modular set up on the back. Teachers will be flexible with marking tardy arrivals for several days, and students will have plenty of help to find new rooms.
We look forward to a new, modern and larger building after the renovation and thank you for your patience as we adjust our classroom spaces during the process.
Students and parents may view new room numbers, if applicable, in SIS StudentVue and SIS ParentVUE.
If you do not already have a ParentVUE SIS account, it is very important for you to activate this feature to support your child’s academic success. Through ParentVUE, you are able to monitor your student’s attendance, grades, and assignments at any time. Once you have activated a ParentVUE account for an FCPS student, you will keep the same account until the student graduates. In addition, all students in the same family can be accessed through the same ParentVUE account. SIS/ParentVUE can be accessed using an app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
Our staff is here to support parents who need to access their SIS ParentVUE accounts. Please see the links below to get you for SIS support.
