Belvedere News and Announcements

Dear Belvedere Family:

Winter break is almost here! Students have been continuously engaged in learning experiences that grow their skills across the curriculum and engage them in deep thinking. Please help us keep this learning going over the break as much as possible.

Some things you can do at home to support this are:

  • Read with your child. This varies depending on the child’s age and reading skills. It can mean looking at the illustrations and telling a story, listening to your child read, taking turns reading, reading to your child, or listening to your child share about his or her reading.
  • Encourage your child to write. This can include writing letters, keeping a journal, drawing and writing about the picture, and writing lists.
  • Encourage your child to measure and count, possibly while cooking or shopping with you.

We hope this break allows for time with friends and family. On behalf of the entire Belvedere staff, we wish you a restful break and happy holidays!

Sincerely,

Cecilia Vanderhye, Principal
