 Holiday Cheer at Crossfield!
What a fantastic winter concert season we had at Crossfield! Our chorus performed at Skate Night as well as the Chorus Shows, our Band and Strings combined forces for a spectacular production, and our 1st graders turned back the clock on 30 years of Crossfield Elementary.
Special thanks to our music teachers, Mrs. Gidick and Ms. Peterson, our Strings and Band teachers, Mrs. Zurbuchen and Mrs. Porter, and our first grade teachers Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Desimone, and Mrs. Leahy.
Well done Crossfield!

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND DURING COLD WEATHER
-
Lip Balm: Winter can be a harsh time for lips. The weather and even the indoor heated air can contribute to dry and cracked lips. Consider packing a lip balm/ointment for your student, one they can keep inside their book bags or on their own person and apply it themselves when needed
-
Hand moisturizer: Students can also keep in their belongings or on their person a small lotion to be applied by themselves when needed for dry hands.
-
Cough drops: Students are allowed to carry their own over the counter cough drops to help soothe irritated throats. Students are allowed to keep it in their belongings and on their person for their own personal use, if needed.
**Please let your student know they are not allowed to share any of these items with anyone. These items should be stowed in their belongings or on their person and not be out in the open. Students should be independent in using these items, Staff are not allowed to assist students with these. The health room (clinic) does not keep any of these items for school community use.
General Information Reminders
- If your child is sick, please keep him/her home.
- Students should be free from fever (without medications) / vomiting / diarrhea for 24 hours before returning to school. In some cases, students may be sent home with a Health Referral requesting physician clearance to return to school.
- Please keep phone numbers and emergency care contact information up-to-date in school. Sign up for WeCare and have access to electronic updates from home.
- Students generally stay 15-20 minutes in the Health Room and then a decision is made to go back to class or go home. We will notify parents in some cases, but the student may still be able to return to class based on their condition.
