Career Center
Our new Career Center Specialist is Ms. Mollis Cottingham. Most recently, Ms. Cottingham was the Transcript Assistant in Student Services. She is excited to get to know even more students, and has been hard at work already. All students are invited to come by the Career Center to contribute to her bulletin board with one word that describes them. Any student who participates will be entered into a drawing for a prize! She is available Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and available for individual appointments with parents/guardians. Transcripts
With Ms. Cottingham’s move into the Career Center, we are pleased to welcome back Ms. Betty Glaze into the Transcript Assistant position. Ms. Glaze is a familiar face at Edison, having previously worked in Student Services, the main office, and the library. She will be back with us starting on January 7. ESOL Counselor
We also welcome a new counselor to work with all of our ESOL students, Ms. Maribel Forget. Ms. Forget is joining us most recently from working as a counselor in Florida. She is originally from California and was not only the first one in her family to get a master’s degree, but the first to finish middle school! She is a former ESOL student herself, speaking Spanish until 2nd grade. She will be working with all of our ESOL students individually, in the classrooms, and running groups. On Tuesday, December 11, 2018, The Edison Dance Team performed their first piece during half-time at the Lady Eagle’s basketball game. They are looking forward to Battle at The Capitol in March! Stay tuned for more updates. |
