Holiday Message from Your PTA Executive Board
With Winter Break just around the corner, we would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for making the first half of the school year so successful. Without your selfless dedication to our school, there would be no chaperones for field trips, no Field Day, and no winter parties. Without your financial support, the PTA couldn’t purchase the copyright to be used for our Spring Musical, rent out gym space for WSES Spirit Night or finance the World Festival. Even by signing your student up for activities such as Coding Club or Running Club, and then committing to picking them up after each activity, you are making our school and PTA a little bit better. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for making 2018 so wonderful.
Looking ahead to 2019, we have a lot to be excited about. In February, we have both PTA Family Bingo Night and WSES Spirit Night. March will bring us a Willow Springs Fun Run and in April we will host our annual silent auction. May will be busy again with both our World Festival and the 3rd Annual Girl Scout Movie Night. We will also try to host a restaurant night or two in the winter/spring as well.
We hope you all can use the two-week winter break to relax a little and enjoy some much deserved time with your families. Heat up some hot chocolate, make some popcorn, and hold your little ones close while hosting your own family movie night. We look forward to working with you all again in 2019!

Do you sometimes eat lunch with your child in the cafeteria?
Please consider volunteering to help out in the cafeteria on the Thursday and Friday of the week before winter break, Thursday, December 20, and Friday, December 21, as well as the week we return from winter break on Monday, January 7, Tuesday, January 8, and Wednesday, January 9. We are short a cafeteria hostess on these days so the extra hands would be helpful. No training required, the hostess will give you a bucket with condiments, etc. to pass out as kids raise their hands for help.
Hope to see you in the cafeteria! The kids love seeing new faces!

NO Hassle Fundraiser

Thanks to your generosity, the PTA has already received $16,045.00 this year in our No Hassle Fundraising Campaign. That leaves us only $8,955.00 left to reach our goal of $25,000.00 for the school year. Way to go Fox Families!! With your help, we have been able to subsidize field trips to Ticonderoga Farms for our Kindergarteners and to the Kennedy Center for our 4th graders, teach all our students about famous artists such as Piet Mondrain and Patrick Dougherty, and begun to reimburse each of our teachers with up to $225 to cover classroom expenses. For us to cover all our expenses and to continue to bring one-of-a-kind learning experiences to our students like author visits and the World Festival, it is imperative that we meet our goals. As 2018 draws to an end, if you are looking for a non-profit organization to contribute to, please consider your Willow Springs PTA.
