A letter is coming home today in the Thursday folders of students in grades 4, 5, and 6. It is about a survey for students in all Virginia schools, in cooperation with the VA Department of Education and University of Virginia. The survey is called, “The Student School Climate Survey,” and it will be administered between January 14-February 8, 2019. As stated in the letter, if you wish to opt your 4-6th grade student out of participating, please notify the school office by January 9, 2019. Thank you.
Does your child ask a lot of questions about the world around them? Do they love to figure out how things work and move? You must have a Scientist in the family! Greenbriar Wests Annual Science Fair will be on Thursday, March 21st from 5:30-7:30 pm. Students in grades 2-6 are invited to participate and show off their scientific minds.
If your child is interested in participating, please submit an online registration form no later than Friday, March 1st (each student must register, even if working with a partner). The online registration form is available on the GBW website or just click on the link below. We look forward to a wonderful celebration of science!

The Greenbriar West SCA is very proud to announce we will again be participating in a Food Drive. All donations will be delivered to the Western Fairfax Christian Ministries, a local outreach center that manages a food pantry for the local Fairfax community. They are incredibly appreciative of the work we do and would like GBW to know how much our commitment to servicing the community makes a difference in the lives of others.
