Dear Floris Families -

What a wonderful week here at Floris! In recognition of Inclusive Schools’ week, students in grades 3-5 once again experienced activities to understand how students with disabilities view the world.  One of our goals here at Floris is for every child to feel welcome, safe, and included in our community and that our students continue to learn how to be respectful, inclusive, and accepting of differences in others.  The program was a big success with positive feedback from teachers, counselors, and most importantly, our students. Thank you to former Floris parent, Margaret Berhns, and to all the Floris parent volunteers whose dedication, hard work, and talent made this possible. Special thanks to Mrs. Greenfield for her invaluable role coordinating with teachers and counselors which made this a wonderful experience for all.
