Happy Weekend Wolverines!

I would like to share some  information with you regarding an Instagram page that has garnered student followers from West Potomac.  The page is barstool@wphs.  The page is a compilation of messages, pictures and videos.  Some of you may be familiar with “barstool” type of pages as it is popular in college.  This site, of course, is not sanctioned by West Potomac.  Unfortunately there are some things on this site that are at best inappropriate and at worst criminal.  Our SRO has viewed a video that is criminal in nature and is investigating the incident.  I share all of this with you to encourage you to speak with your children about following the page.  Several of the students who are following the page are following with their full name accounts and I would hate that students be involved with these types of activities.  Of course, it is up to any individual to follow and post to this account, however, I thought you should know of its existence and content.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!  If you are available this weekend, please come out and join us for our annual production of the Nutcracker!  Our student, staff and community have put in countless hours and the show will not disappoint.

Thank you,

Tangy Millard
