School News

Book Fair.  The book fair opens at 8am on Friday (and closes at the end of the school day).  It will also be open on Saturday from 9am until noon. 

Concerts-Save the Dates. Our chorus and percussion ensemble concert will be on January 17 at 2:45pm and 7pm. Our band and strings concert will be on January 31 at 2:45pm and 7pm.

Level IV AAP Referrals.  On December 5, from 7-8pm, Karen Mitchell, our Advanced Academics Resource Teacher will host a session for parents on the topic of referring students for the highest level of Advanced Academic Program service. Level IV service is offered to students in grades 3-6. Parent Referrals for Level IV screening are due to Camelot no later than January 10, 2019.

PTA News

Donuts with Dudettes TOMORROW 8:30am. Calling all the ladies-moms, grandmoms, aunts, friends, caregivers! Please join your students in the cafeteria for some bonding over donuts and juice! Also, as an added bonus, swing by the Book Fair and get your shopping in-doors to the library will be open! A special thank you to Progressive Dental Care for sponsoring Donuts with Dudettes, to the dudes serving the donuts and to Kelly Pike for rounding up our donuts! Bonus: At the event, we’ll be raffling off an American Girl doll, just in time for the holidays! $5 per ticket, bring cash!

Fun Run Pledge Donations Due TOMORROW. Fun Run donations due TOMORROW November 30th! We have surpassed our $10,000 goal and have raised over $16,000 for the school! Please send in donations by tomorrow in order for your child to be eligible for prizes. Fun Facts: 6261 Superlaps were run which is over 1565 miles!

Camelot Buddy Gingerbread House Event- Dec 6th. FCPS is highlighting our school during Inclusive Schools Week. Inclusive Schools Week is next week, December 3-7th. The week provides an important opportunity for educators, students and parents to discuss what can be done to ensure schools improve their ability to successfully educate all children. This year, we’re excited that FCPS will send a video crew to highlight our annual holiday Camelot Buddy Event on December 6  to promote Inclusive Schools Week across the FCPS community. Over 150 Camelot students who participate in our Camelot Buddy program will decorate Gingerbread Houses in the cafeteria from 3-3:40pm to make a snow village in our front hallway of the school. We need several parent volunteers to join us for this event.  Please view the sign up genius to help make this annual tradition a success.

Save the Date - Choolaah Restaurant Fundraiser - December 6th. Giving never tasted so good! Join us at Choolaah from 11am - 9pm to help raise money for Camelot ES. Show this flyer or bring in the printed copy sent home today and we will receive 30% of the sales!
