Please join us on Thursday, November 15, 2018 for our Thanksgiving Luncheon. You are also invited to join your child in their classroom for 30 minutes before lunch begins for a class visit. Not only will you be able to spend time with your child in their class, your child will get the opportunity to escort their “Thanksgiving Luncheon” guest(s) to the cafeteria.
The lunch schedule has been adjusted for this day to accommodate all of our visitors and was sent home in Wednesday folders on October 31. Please fill out the bottom of the lunch schedule letter and return to your child’s teacher. Do not send in money for lunch at this time. You will purchase a lunch ticket on the day of the luncheon. We ask that you arrive approximately 15 minutes before your classroom visit or lunch time to purchase your ticket.
The lunch price for all guests is $4.50. No Eagle View student lunches may be purchased in the guest ticket line. Eagle View students may purchase lunch in the regular lunch line along with their class. We can accept cash (small bills) and checks made out to Eagle View Elementary only.

As we move into the winter holidays, some families have a difficult time affording a special meal. Sometimes county agencies, private organizations, or schools are able to help. This year, Eagle View is fortunate enough to have people and organizations in the Eagle View community who are able to provide meals to a limited number of families. If your family is in need of holiday meal assistance, you may contact Eagle View’s School Social Worker (Jeff Hewitt) or one of the Eagle View School Counselors (Sarah Schoonover, Susan Gallagher) if you have any questions.
Superhero Bingo Night, Eagle View's most popular PTA event, is Friday, November 16th from 6-9 PM. Don’t miss out on games, prizes, and pizza.
- Family Pack $25 (Includes a large pizza, 4 drinks, 4 dabbers, and 40 Bingo games)
- Two Pack $15 (Includes a small pizza, 2 drinks, 2 dabbers, and 20 Bingo games)
Pre-order forms are due no later than Wednesday, November 14th. All payments are required with the form. Please make checks payable to Eagle View PTA. Forms were sent home in your child’s yellow folder.
The badge challenge this month celebrates the spirit of Thanksgiving. Each teacher will be provided a single classroom collection sheet, and it will be up to the kids to complete it. Fifty Box Tops per class is a lot, so it will be a true challenge to work together throughout the month. Check your pantries and ask family and friends to help collect them!
Box Tops are on hundreds of products. View the full products list for ideas. Each Box Top earns our school ten cents. This month, each classroom collection sheet will earn five dollars for our school. Thanks to your help, our school is currently on track to meeting our goal to raise $1,000 through the Box Tops program!
To help your classroom with this month's challenge, send your Box Tops to school in a zipped bag with your teacher's name marked clearly on the bag.
Do you shop at Harris Teeter? If so, please link your Harris Teeter VIC Card with Eagle View (TIE #: 3821) to help earn money for our school! This is an annual process, so even if you linked your card last year, we encourage you to do it again. Enrollment for this school year is currently open. Below are 3 different ways to enroll:
- At checkout, ask your cashier link your card to our school. Our TIE number is 3821.
- Our coordinator can do a mass upload of VIC numbers. To do this, we need your VIC number (located on your card), Last Name, and associated phone number. Please send this information to EV PTA Rewards.
Visit Harris Teeter on the web and navigate to their Together In Education page to link your card.
Do you shop at Giant Food? Eagle View ES has teamed up with their A+ Program, and we are excited to share this with you!
Families can sign-up once and save their school selection from year to year. Your card can be associated with up to two schools of your choice. So, if you've already done this for another school, you can also associate your card with Eagle View Elementary.
Through this program, Giant will donate a portion of your purchase total to Eagle View without any changes to the way you shop or earn gas points. Visit their Frequently Asked Questions for registration information.
