Chesterbrook Update 11/12

Veteran's Day

Thank you to our Veterans and to those who are currently serving our country.  Thank you for your sacrifices and for the protection of our liberties. We are wearing Red, White and Blue today in Honor of our Heroes.

THIS WEEK Nov 12th - 16th IS STAND UP TO BULLYING WEEK

Chesterbrook will be celebrating international “Stand Up to Bullying Day!”  Our theme for the week is BE A H.E.R.O. - Help, Encourage, and Respect Others! Every day this week, we will engage in classroom discussions about how to be a H.E.R.O.  We will also have a different spirit day each day of the week.

Mon Nov 12th – Honor our Heroes

Veteran’s Day Wear Red, White & Blue

Tues Nov 13th – Everyone Counts

Wear a jersey or team shirt with a number on it.

Wed Nov 14th Put Bullying to Rest

Wear School Appropriate PJs

Thursday – Be a H.E.R.O.

Wear superhero clothing or colors

Friday - PINK & BLACK OUT

Why do we wear pink on Nov. 16? In 2007, Travis Price and David Shepherd, then high school seniors, decided to take a stand and stood up for a fellow student who was bullied for wearing pink to school.  The “wave of pink” soon spread throughout the world.   For more information, visit http://www.pinkshirtday.ca
