Fall Scholastic Book Fair 

The Fall Book Fair is almost here! Browsing starts on November 12th and students will be taking home their browsing lists and buying date information then.

Preview Days: Monday, November 12 to Wednesday, November 14 at noon.

Sale Days: Wednesday, November 14 at noon to Friday, November 16 at 2:30 p.m., evening sales Thursday, November 15 until 7:30 p.m.

Books can also be purchased online from November 12th to 26th.

Teacher Wish Lists will be posted in the Library. Please consider adding to your child's classroom library by purchasing from this list!

All for Books: Please consider donating your small change to the All for Books program. The amount collected will be matched by Scholastic and will go towards new books for students in need. There is also a competition to see which grade donates the most!

AAP Level IV Screening Parent Informational Meeting

A parent information meeting will be held at Mosby Woods on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. The Advanced Academic Resource Teacher, Mrs. Linehan, will discuss AAP services and explain the screening process for full-time Level IV services, as well as answer questions. Students in grades 2-6 are eligible for Level IV screening and eligible students may begin placement in the 2019-2020 school year. Nominate a Mosby Woods Outstanding Employee

Nominations are now open for the Outstanding Employee Awards! To submit a nomination for a Mosby Woods Elementary Outstanding Employee in one of the categories below, please complete the nomination form.

The deadline to submit a nomination is November 26, 2018. If you have any questions, please email Carole Linehan.

You may nominate an employee in one or more categories. All that is required for a preliminary nomination is a paragraph or two about how this employee demonstrates exceptional work. Below are the eligibility requirements for each category.

Outstanding Teacher: Teachers or librarians with at least three full years of teaching experience (in any school district).

Outstanding New Teacher: Teachers or librarians within their first three full years of teaching experience (in any school district).

Outstanding Principal

Outstanding Leader: Common positions in this category: School-Based Technology Specialist, Technology Support Specialist, Assistant Principals, Psychologist, Social Worker, School Counselor, or Resource Teachers that serve in an administrative role in a school.

Outstanding Operational Employee: Common positions in this category: administrative and office assistants, custodial staff, food service staff, IA, PHA, PHTA, all parent liaisons.

Outstanding Hourly Employee: Possible School-Based Hourly Employee Positions: hourly office staff, hourly program assistants, other unique hourly positions.

Sign-up to Share at the 2019 Career Fair

Parents, we are currently recruiting for our 2019 Career Fair. The fair will be held at Mosby Woods ES on March 20, 2019. We are looking for a wide variety of presenters to showcase their careers at booths during the fair. Presenters can sign up for one or both sessions and are welcome to stay for lunch: Primary Grades (Head Start-3rd grade): 9:30 a.m.-11:10 a.m., Lunch: 11:10 a.m.-12:15 p.m., Upper Grades (4th-6th grades): 12:20 p.m.-2:20 p.m. Please reach out to Carole Linehan, Ashley Dwyer, or Laura Zinn with any questions!
