#ourLAES: Portrait of a Dolphin

This week's Portrait of a Dolphin highlights our librarian, Ms. Kate Clark.  She just recently moved here from Austin, Texas and is excited to experience all four seasons this year.

Name: Kate Clark

Position: Librarian

Years at Lake Anne: 1st Year

Favorite Foods: Almond croissants, cherries, pumpkin bread, and Tom Kha with tofu

Favorite Song: I love everything that Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong sing together. Also, I Don't Feel Like Dancin' by Scissors Sisters always puts a smile on my face.

Favorite Book: The hardest question of all. Drawn Together by Minh Lê and Dan Santat is a flawless example of how a picture book should work. So is City Dog, Country Frog by Mo Willems and Jon J. Muth. As far as novels go, The Wife by Meg Wolitzer is a wicked and witty little gem.

Fact Fact: I worked as an entertainer at Hersheypark when I was a teenager.
