Thanks to everyone who joined us for PTA Costume Bingo! Many thanks to co-chairs Azadeh Clayton and Lynette Kaber and all of our volunteers who helped to make Costume Bingo a fun and successful evening! National Blue Ribbon Reception for Keene Mill Elementary School: Please join us on Tuesday, November 13, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. to celebrate our recognition as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education! Students, parents, staff, and community members are invited to join us. Gary Lloyd, a former Keene Mill parent, will be telling stories for children in the gym, sixth graders will provide tours of the renovated building, and our sixth grade chorus will perform for our honored guests, which include FCPS Superintendent Scott Brabrand, Deputy Superintendent Francis Ivey, Region 4 Assistant Superintendent Jay Pearson, and School Board members Elizabeth Schultz, Megan McLaughlin, Ilryong Moon, Ryan McElveen, and Karen Keys-Gamarra. KMES Wellness Committee Meeting: We invite parents to participate in our Wellness Committee to help with ideas, suggestions, and support of wellness for the entire Keene Mill Elementary School family. The first meeting of the Wellness Committee will be Friday, November 9, at 8:30 a.m. in the school library. We hope you will be able to join us!

6th Grade Bake Sale November 6th, 7:00am-7:00pm at KMES at the SACC entrance! Stop by and help the 6th Grade raise money for their End of Year Celebration and 6th Grade t-shirts by purchasing baked goods on your way to vote! Needed!! Family Fun Night Co-Chairs for December 7th!! The DJ has been booked! Fabulous raffle items, including Disney tickets, an American Girl Doll, Flight tickets, Principal for a Day, and fun events with teachers, are being collected! We need you and your creative ideas to pick a theme and coordinate a few fun activities such as Face Painting, Photo Booth, etc to help create a night of fun for our families! Save the Date! December 7th Family Fun Night/Raffle/PTA Meeting! The Raffle Committee has been busy collecting exciting items to include Disney tickets, an American Girl Doll, Flight tickets, Principal for a Day, Gift Baskets and more!
Box Tops: We collect Box Tops, and it has been a great way for our PTA to earn money. We have a class contest, and the class that sends in the most Box Tops will win a special prize at the end of the year! Send them in a plastic bag along with your child's teacher's name.
