Cooper’s Fall play, Wagon Wheels A-Rollin’

Wednesday 11/14 & Thursday 11/15 after school 2:30-4:30.

Friday 11/16 and Saturday 11/17 from 7:00-9:00pm

Woe falls upon Chuck Wagon’s wagon train, stranded in the notorious Whistling Skull Rock outside the tiny town of Vinegar Bottle, famed for its “I’m O.K. You’re O.K. Corral” and crawling with villains and bandits!  The wagon train gets robbed by the mysterious outlaw known as “The Snake,” but Chuck is accused of being the bandit through a crazy plot twist.  This fast-paced spoof of the Old West is filled with a goofy stable of hilarious characters.  With over 80 Cooper students in the cast and crew, Wagon Wheels A-Rollin’” is a fun for the whole family show.  Tickets are $5 for students and children, and $10 for adults and can be purchased at https://www.itickets.com/events/408024.html  They can also be purchased at the door.

Kiss and Ride Guidelines

Our Kiss and Ride plan is designed to help keep our Cooper Middle School students safe and help the traffic flow.  Here is the outline of how the Kiss and Ride operates:

  • Kiss and Ride is in the back of the school. Cars are not permitted to drop students in front of the school from 7:00 am to 7:45 am.
  • Cars enter the normal entrance from Balls Hill Drive, proceed straight and bear right all the way around the building and onto the back parking lot. There is a designated drop off zone where students disembark and walk up the stairs to enter the building through door number 5.
  • Cars drive back up the same road and exit the same intersection from which they entered the school lot.  There are a number of staff members to help guide you through the plan.
  • Access road is closed during arrival and departures to Cooper Middle School.
  • In the afternoon, parents will use the same Kiss and Ride traffic loop for pickup. There will be no parking or driving in the front parking lot from 1:45 pm -2:45 pm.

We need to do everything we can to guarantee the safety of our students. Thus, no students should ever be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Dead Run
  • Balls Hill Rd
  • Georgetown Pike cross streets
  • Parking lots and intersections that lead into the school.

We highly encourage students to ride the bus. We thank you for your cooperation in helping us to provide a safe system for dropping off and picking up students!
