We had so many characters wandering through Lane today - in the best possible way! We just had to share a few of the creative costumes that decorated Book Character Day!

Roar Reminders

  • The PTA hopes to host its Fall Beautification Day this Friday, November 2nd, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Unfortunately rain is once again in the forecast, so the event may not take place. The decision will be made Thursday afternoon. Stay tuned!

  • End-of-quarter Teacher Workdays are scheduled for this coming Monday, November 5th and Tuesday, November 6th. School will be open, but STUDENTS DO NOT REPORT.

  • Veterans Day Salute and Assembly – Monday, November 12th! Please RSVP by Friday, November 9th! If you are a current or former member of the military, please plan to join us that day so that we can honor you for your service. If you have military members in your extended family, feel free to invite them too! See the flyer on our website for details. You can RSVP online here.

    VETERANS DAY UPDATE! – We need your photographs!
    As part of our Veterans Day celebration, we would like to create an electronic “Wall of Honor” featuring photographs of the active-duty and veteran members of the military in our school community. Please send a photo of your military family member(s) by next Friday, November 9th, to be included in our Veterans Day slide show. You can send a hard-copy photo in to school with your child (please be sure to label it with your child’s name and teacher’s name) or scan and email a digital copy to our parent liaison Melanie Crosby Hardy at macrosby@fcps.edu.

  • International Night 2018 – Thursday, November 15th, 6 to 8 p.m. This is the night Lane families come together from around the world to celebrate our rich cultural diversity with food, entertainment, cultural displays, and FUN for the whole family! ALL families are encouraged to participate! Just fill out the forms sent home in last week’s Wednesday Folder, or you can register using our electronic form.

  • Information for parents about DreamBox Learning has been posted on our school website. Check out the details on this helpful digital tool.
