Federal Impact Aid Forms

To all parents, federal Impact Aid forms were sent home on Wednesday, October 17 with your student.  While many students have returned their forms with a parent signature, we still need over 200 students to bring in their signed Impact Aid form.  Please take a moment to ask your student for the form, complete it with your signature, and have your child return it to school as soon as possible.  Your participation helps Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) obtain its fair share of federal Impact Aid grant funds.  Thank you for your assistance!

Fairfax County Youth Survey

The Fairfax County Youth Survey is a comprehensive, anonymous and voluntary survey given each year to students in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12 that examines behaviors, experiences and other factors that influence the health and well-being of Fairfax County's youth. The results provide a snapshot of the county's youth and serve as a barometer of the community's effectiveness in fostering healthy choices in young people. The Youth Survey is a collaboration of Fairfax County Government and Fairfax County Public Schools.

LJMS will be administering the survey between November 7 and November 16.  Parents can review the survey at:

https://www.fcps.edu/index.php/resources/student-safety-and-wellness/youth-survey

Parents who wish to opt-out their child from the survey should complete the opt-out form located on that link and return it to their child’s counselor.

Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid

To all parents, federal Impact Aid forms were sent home on Wednesday, October 17 with your student!  Please take a moment to ask your student for the form, complete it with your signature, and have your child return it to school before or by October 26.

Returning this form is important because information from this survey results in an anticipated $3 million dollars in grant funds each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.

For each school-aged child in your household, please complete, sign, date, and return the survey to your child's school. If sections 1 and 2 of the survey do not apply to you, just check the box in Section 3.  All forms must be signed, dated, and returned by October 26. All results are CONFIDENTIAL.
