Health Room News
|
As we enter flu season here are some Braddock Elementary School reminders and recommendations:
|
- Emergency Contacts -- Be sure to update the names of those individuals who can pick up your child on your behalf when your child is sick. If you designate someone not on the list, we need prior verbal approval and that individual must bring identification before we are able to release your child.
- Medication -- Please contact the Health Room and speak to the School Health Aide to arrange in advance and complete the necessary paperwork signed by the doctor. Please do not send your child with medication to school.
- Fever -- Your child should stay home a full 24 hours without fever before returning to school.
- Vomiting -- Your child should be 24 hours without vomiting before returning to school.

Lice -- If there is a live lice encounter, you will receive a call from the school to pick up your child. You will be given a form to complete and sign before the student can return to school. The form should indicate that you have treated the affected area and physically removed the nits. During the school day, if nits are found, you will receive a call from the school asking you to please continue following up on a daily basis. This is a joint effort and we ask for your continued commitment and cooperation to fight lice at our School.

A medida que entramos en la temporada de gripe, aquí hay algunos recordatorios y recomendaciones de la Escuela Primaria Braddock:
- Contactos de emergencia: asegúrese de actualizar los nombres de las personas que pueden recoger a su hijo en su nombre cuando esté enfermo. Si designa a alguien que no está en la lista, necesitamos una aprobación verbal previa y esa persona debe presentar una identificación antes de poder retirar a su hijo.

- Vómitos: su hijo debe pasar 24 horas sin vomitar antes de regresar a la escuela.
- Piojos: si hay un encuentro con piojos vivos, recibirá una llamada de la escuela para recoger a su hijo. Se le entregará un formulario para completar y firmar antes de que el estudiante pueda regresar a la escuela. El formulario debe indicar que ha tratado el área afectada y eliminado físicamente las liendres. Durante el día escolar, si se encuentran liendres, recibirá una llamada de la escuela pidiéndole que continúe con el seguimiento diario. Este es un esfuerzo conjunto y le pedimos su continuo compromiso y cooperación para combatir los piojos en nuestra escuela.
