Accompanist Needed for Winter Concert

Click here to volunteer if you're available and know how to play a few familiar holiday carols on the piano.

Chorus is looking for an accompanist for the Winter Concert. We have CD accompaniments for 2 of our selections but are in need of a pianist for the other 2 selections and a few easy-to-play holiday carols. If you, or someone you know, might be available to play, please let Mrs. Berra know as soon as possible!  If you're interested, please email her at mmberra@fcps.edu to look over the music before deciding.

Ideally, we would need the accompanist:

  • Friday, December 7th: 2:30-3:30 p.m. Dress Rehearsal with 5th and 6th Grade Chorus Combined
  • Thursday, December 13th: 9:30-10:15 a.m. K-3 Teachers and Students
  • Thursday, December 13th: 7:00-8:00 p.m. Community Performance
  • Friday, December 14th: 9:30-10:15 a.m. 4-6 Teachers and Students

Reflections Due This Friday 11/2

For 50 years, National PTA’s Reflections program has helped students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life. The 2018-2019 theme "Heroes Around Me" will spark imagination and creativity in school and at home. Each year, hundreds of thousands of students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create and submit original works of art in one or all of the following available arts categories: dance choreography, film, literature, music, photography, and visual arts. If your child is interested in submitting an entry, the deadline is November 2nd. There is a special Reflections Box in the Main Office for students to submit their projects. All submissions must be turned in this Friday, 11/2 by 4:00 p.m. Please contact Prassu Mehta at prastavna@yahoo.com for more information and details on how to enter. All work must be the student's own without any outside assistance. Winners will move on to the district, state, and national levels if chosen. For more information, please visit the PTA website.
