PARENT SURVEY FOR FEDERAL IMPACT AID

Beginning on October 16th, FCPS will be asking all families to fill out a Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid. A form for each of your school-aged children who are enrolled here at Fairview, was mailed to your home address.  Please complete the form and return it to school with your child as soon as possible.  All forms are due to school by October 26 and we are required by law to collect 100% of the forms.

Returning this form is important because information from this survey results in an anticipated $3 million dollars in grant funds each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.

For each school-aged child in your household, please complete, sign, date, and return the survey to your child's school. If sections 1 and 2 of the survey do not apply to you, just check the box in Section 3.  All forms must be signed, dated, and returned by October 26. All results are CONFIDENTIAL.

Learn more by watching this short video featuring Superintendent Scott Brabrand and the U.S. Army Garrison Commander COL Michael Greenberg from Fort Belvoir.

Yearbook Photos Needed

yearbook photos

The Yearbook team is already hard at work compiling the best of 2018-2019 memories of students, faculty, events, and activities to create lasting memories in our school yearbook.  How can you help?

1.  Send candid photos to yearbook@fairviewpta.org.*

2.  Volunteer to be a grade level committee member - help the chairs identify students and make sure everyone is included!  Email yearbook@fairviewpta.org or check out the signup genius coming soon!

* The best photos to share are of kids "doing things" (vs. posed shots or selfies)...catching kids in the act of learning and having fun is what it's all about.  Please send the highest resolution photos you have - the yearbook team will review for image quality, content, and opt-outs.

Thank you!
