Happy Thanksgiving
Principal's Message

Dear Panther Families,

We are thankful for our Poplar Tree staff, students and families. Thanksgiving is a holiday to focus on things that we are grateful for, and we hope that you all have many items to be grateful for on Thanksgiving and everyday.

Please remember that there is no school Wednesday, Nov. 21 - Friday, Nov. 23 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The PTES Main Office will close at 4:30 on Tuesday, November 20 and will reopen at 8:00 on Monday, November 26.

We are also on Holiday Homework Break. No assignments will be given for the break. Nothing will be due and there are no assessments/tests on the Monday or Tuesday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 26-27).

We hope each of you has a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday and we will see you next Monday!

Ms. Andujar and Ms. Walker

Positivity Project

This week our focus has been on the character strength of gratitude.

We continued our focus on gratitude this week as we approach Thanksgiving. Gratitude is the single best predictor of individual well-being. It is correlated with increased energy, empathy, happiness and optimism. Gratitude is less about feeling indebted and more about being aware of the consideration, kindness, and generosity of others. It’s also important to note that gratitude is not about ignoring the negative aspects of life; it’s simply being aware of and thankful for what is good.
