 Sixth Grade Camp Highroad trip - a special Louise Archer tradition!
From the Principal's Desk:
Congratulations, Louise Archer ES! Once again, we received the
distinguished school award, VIP Board of Education Excellence Award, for being fully accredited and for making
significant progress toward educational goals established by the Board of
Education and the Governor. I received
this award on behalf of Louise Archer (along with 37 other FCPS schools) at a
recent school board meeting. Our students continue to make progress in our
academic areas of needs and this highlights all of our collective efforts. We are proud of this accomplishment!
Positivity Project News
The
Positivity Project began during the week of September 9th and focused on the
“Other People Matter” mindset. The idea behind this statement is that good
relationships with others promotes happy and healthy individuals. The five
behaviors of healthy relationships are: 1. Knowing that my words and actions
affect others, 2. Cheering for their successes, 3. Being present and giving
others my attention, 4. Supporting them when they struggle, 5. Identifying and
appreciating the good in others. Classes have already traversed and focused on
traits such as Curiosity, Teamwork and Citizenship, Open-Mindedness, and
Identifying and Appreciating the Good in Others. In the upcoming weeks we
will learn more about what Integrity, Perspective and Creativity mean in our
relationships. We would love for parents to be involved in our emphasis on
the Positivity Project and building relationships. We will continue to keep you
informed of what we are focusing on in hopes that you can reflect on it at home
with your children.
PTA Sunshine 5K and Fun

will be challenging. Please note - there is no parking in the First Baptist Church due
to their own event.
Impact Aid Forms
Please be on the lookout for Impact Aid forms coming next
week. We appreciate your help in getting these forms back as soon as
possible.
Picture Day
Individual student pictures will be taken on Tuesday, October 16th. All pictures must be prepaid. Please look for the payment envelopes that came home in the Tuesday folder with important information for how to pay online as well.

and late arrivals should be reported to the school attendance line,

by 9:30am each morning. Unreported absences and late arrivals generate
contact by an automated attendance system. All unverified absences become
unexcused absences.
