Greetings,
I hope everyone is having a great start to the 2018-19 School
Year. As your Braddock District School Board Member, I look forward to learning
about issues that are important to you and advocating for positive changes in
our schools. One of the best ways for me to accomplish this is to hold office
hours in our community. Thus, I want to let you know about two office hours
that I will be hosting next week. They are:
Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in the morning, and Wednesday, October
17, 2018 in the evening at the Kings Park Library building. Please see the specific
location details listed below.
My round-table discussion will include topics on FCPS’ FY20 budget
forecast, student/teacher workload, closing achievement & opportunity gaps,
digital learning in the classroom, competitive teacher pay, as well as any
other issues or concerns you wish to discuss. No RSVP is necessary.
I am also seeking applications from Braddock community
members who may be interested in serving on the School Board’s Advanced Academic Programs Advisory
Committee (AAPAC) and the K-12
Language Arts Basal Instructional Materials Adoption Committee.
Please see specific details below.
I hope to see you next week!
Cheers,
Megan
