Reminder:
Wednesday October 10th is a schoolwide PSAT testing day! All 9th, 10th, and 11th
graders will test on this day. Freshman and Sophomores are automatically
registered as their costs are covered by the county and they will receive a score report.
Register:
Juniors who wish to have their test scored must fill out the registration form (here) and pay $20. All forms and money can be taken to Ms. Manraj in the main office. The test must be scored to be considered for the National Merit Scholarship and other scholarships. Students who do NOT pay are still expected to take the PSAT exam.
Remember:
Seniors are not expected to be in the building on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, when 9th, 10th, and 11th graders are scheduled to take their PSAT. All seniors will be considered EXC the day the PSAT is administered. We encourage our seniors to be academically engaged in one of the following ways:
- Go on college visits (not everyone has the day off so tours might be smaller)
- Work on college applications
- Work on job applications or other post-secondary plans
- Service learning activities
-
Start the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Go to fafsa.ed.gov and create an account. Need assistance getting started on the FAFSA? Experts will be at Financial Aid Night on Tuesday, October 9th at 6:30 pm in the Auditorium.
Release:
It is a 2 hour early release day. Buses will be here to pick up students at 12:55 PM on this day. We anticipate the PSAT test will end at 12:25 and students will receive lunch before the buses arrive. If you have any questions, please contact testing office at 703-810-2473.
