1st Graders Blending Their Learning
Lights, Camera, Action!
The GBE News Studio has received a major upgrade thanks to a grant through the Digital Technology Cohort. The GBE News Studio received new cameras, microphones, lighting, teleprompter, and video/sound mixer. In addition to the new technology for the News Studio the grant also included materials that classrooms could use for video production.
We are in need of volunteers for Team Building Day, especially for 5th and 6th grade on Monday, October 15th from 1:45-3:30pm. We greatly appreciate your help bringing a fun filled day of excitement and cooperation to our wonderful students.

PTA News:

GBE's
annual Fall Festival and Silent Auction is Saturday, October 20th.
Be on the lookout for a letter coming home with your child today regarding the
Silent Auction, and please consider donating an
item so we can build our classroom baskets. Items can be sent in with
your child and must be received by Friday, October 10th. If you have any questions about your
child's classroom theme, feel free to reach out to your room parent or email president@gbepta.com.

Reflections
2018-2019 Reflections
Theme “Heroes Around Me”
Any GBE student may participate in the National PTA Reflections
program which encourages students to explore the arts and express themselves by
giving positive recognition for their artistic efforts. Since it was founded in
1969 by Mary Lou Anderson, millions of students have benefited from this
program.
Students in Pre-K through grade 12 create theme-based artwork in dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography or visual arts.
All entries should be given to Konnie Cassidy by the deadline, November 2.
