Week 5
Hello Ms. Cassidy and Ms. Snyder's class. Ms. Cassidy is here for her first year at Crossfield from New Jersey. A recent foot injury hasn't slowed her down much as she stays very active each day. Welcome Ms. Cassidy!
I invite you to attend our Book Fair/Ice Cream Social tonight. I'll be there with both of my children, Tim (6) and Tessa (4). It's a big event in their yearly calendar. I've been reminded each day this week about the two pieces of pizza, ice cream, and two books I promised my children tonight. The Gerald and Piggie books seem to be right at our reading level, and there are so many to choose from!
Our 5th grade completes their field trips to the Chesapeake Bay today, PTO after-school programs begin next week, and our annual Fall Fun Run Fundraiser kicks off Oct. 12 with a pep rally. There are so many elements to an elementary school community that supplement our academic focus. I hope your students get to take advantage of them and enjoy them.
See you tonight (and bring cash for food if you haven't pre-ordered...I've learned my lesson before)!
Sincerely,
Mark Granieri, mtgranieri@fcps.edu
