Bus Delay Notification

The FCPS transportation department and drivers do a fantastic job of getting thousands of students to their schools safely and timely each day. There are however occasions where a bus may run late due to unforeseen circumstances.  Did you know that you can go to the fcps.edu website (home page) and check on bus delays?  Should a bus be delayed by more than 15 minutes, the transportation department will post the information listing the school, bus number and the estimated delay time.

2018-2019  Reflections Theme “Heroes Around Me”

Any GBE student may participate in the National PTA Reflections program which encourages students to explore the arts and express themselves by giving positive recognition for their artistic efforts. Since it was founded in 1969 by Mary Lou Anderson, millions of students have benefited from this program.

Students in Pre-K through grade 12 create theme-based artwork in dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography or visual arts.

All entries should be given to Konnie Cassidy by the deadline, November 2.

Room Parents

Room parents are needed in all grade levels to occasionally serve as a class liaison with PTA activities and assist classroom teachers. If you are interested in volunteering to serve as a classroom parent, please contact your child's teacher.
