USTA

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) proudly presents TGA (Teach, Grow, Achieve) Premier Youth Tennis, the first and only national tennis enrichment program in the country. Students will develop tennis skills utilizing youth-friendly equipment in a play-to-learn style that gets them rallying and having fun right away. In addition, students will learn relevant life skills and STEAM skills in the context of tennis such as sportsmanship, respect, math, science, technology, and more. Our Middle School Tennis Club includes a focus on match play, teamwork, and strategies to prep students for their future high school tennis team. This program is ideal for students who are new to the sport or those with beginner level skills. All students will receive awards at the end of each session. The club is taught by USTA-trained and background-screened coaches utilizing the most current teaching methodology. Lastly, all tennis equipment is provided during the program (e.g. racquets, balls, portable nets).

This is a 6-week program, 1 hour a week, with a fee of $108.00 which can be paid on My School Bucks.  Registration fees are non-refundable.  There will be 14 student openings for this program.

Mindframe Education

Intro to Graphic Design: Students are introduced to Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. They learn the fundamentals of graphic design and understand the creative process. By the end of this course, students will be able to use each design program to create custom graphics and layouts, and develop the skills needed to create their own mini-magazine.

Java Programming: In this class, students will learn core programming concepts and learn the fundamentals of Java programming language. In addition, students will be introduced to the basics of object-oriented programming concepts and will be able to understand its application in the development of Java software systems. Students will work on various levels of programming projects such has creating a virtual sandwich shop and a library book management system.  This class is a good introduction to programming for middle schoolers.

Each of these is a 10-week program, 1 hour per week, with a fee of $195.00 which can be paid on My School Bucks.  Registration fees are non-refundable.  There will be 10 student openings for each of these programs.
