 Free Event!
You’re invited to join with Mosby Woods families!
On Saturday, September 29th, 2018 the Kennedy Center’s live production of the opera, “The Barber of Seville” is being simulcast on the jumbotron in Nationals Park for free! This is a family-friendly event and students/families of all ages are welcome!
Gates open at 5 p.m. and you are encouraged to arrive early to take part in pre-performance activities. Transportation is NOT being provided. Unlike previous years, the event is not taking group seats at this time, but you are free to sit in the stands, or bring blankets to sit in the outfield with other Mosby Woods families.
In the spring, 5th and 6th graders learn about Opera in general music class, and this opportunity is a great way to get a head start!

There will be a New Parent
Coffee hosted by our principal, Dr. Aste. It will be in the Mosby Woods
Cafeteria on Monday Oct. 1 at 9:00 a.m. Parents who are new to Mosby Woods are welcome
to attend to learn more about our school, ask questions, and meet other parents
in our community.

 Oakton Pyramid Digital Citizenship Expo!
The Oakton Pyramid is collaborating on a Digital Citizenship Expo for our community on Tuesday, October 16, at 6:30pm, at Rachel Carson Middle School. This event will provide resources and information to parents, and provide support on how to facilitate discussions at home with students regarding Digital Citizenship and Internet Safety. This year, parents may choose to have their older children, in 4th grade and above, attend sessions with them. Child care will be available for children in kindergarten through 3rd grade. More information will be forthcoming as we near the date.
