Little Free Library

Take a book. Share a book. Visit our community Little Free Library located in the front right corner of our school. Due to the public nature of the library, please verify the age appropriateness of the books your child chooses.

Positivity Project

Teamwork

Next week, our students will learn about teamwork. Teamwork is the ability and willingness to place overall group success as a higher priority than individual achievement. This strength is associated with naturally positive feelings that accompany being a member of a family, team, school, political party, ethnic group, or country. However, those positive feelings can come with bad behavior towards the “out-group” in the form of blind obedience, disparaging words, or prejudice. This is important to guard against by leveraging a person’s other positive character strengths.

Meet Selma Jaks, Our New Office Assistant

I was born to a Peruvian mother and an Austrian father in Lima-Peru. I have lived in Peru, Austria and Venezuela before arriving to Virginia almost 18 years ago. For the past 10 years I have dedicated myself to the medical field and have learned so much and grown not only professionally, but also personally.

I am very excited to have started this new journey in my life in the educational field with Little Run ES.
